When a computer hard disk is crashing, the performance of the disk is usually undergoing rapid degradation. Each time the disk is powered up might be the last time data is can be copied off the disk. This problem is compounded with the fact that the disk might only randomly power up. The disk might require a replacement circuit board or it may require some other part that is difficult to find. The disk might only function at a certain narrow temperature range. Ultimately, the disk might have imploded and destroyed the data-holding magnetic coating where the data is stored, rendering the disk completely useless.
Using hardware and software techniques it is possible to recover data from a hard disk that is experiencing hardware or software based disk crash. The one thing that you can count on when a disk is failing is that it never does the same thing twice. During the recovery process we will, through process of elimination, try each and every method to retrieve data from your disk.
There are a variety of ways for a disk to crash, and each can require a different specific technique to recover data off of the failing disk. Depending on the appropriate method, data recovery could take several days or several weeks. It could be just a matter of transferring the data off with the appropriate equipment, or it could be as extensive as needing to search for and order specific replacement parts for your disk. Whatever needs to be done, you can be sure REDISKME will get your data back to you as soon as we can.
The amount of data we can recover from your disk is solely dependent on the type and severity of the disk crash your system is suffering from. In the most frequently occurring case, certain sections of the disk are unreadable, and whether these sections contain data you care about, data you don't care about, or free space depends only on luck. As such we can not be sure we will be able to recover all of the data you request exactly as it was before your disk crashed. In the majority of cases, however, we are able to recover most if not all of the data required.
The service we provide with Recover is data recovery only. Depending on how much of your disk is damaged and the format you request your data back on, your operating system may still function, but this should not be expected. REDISKME does not provide operating system and application reconstruction. We will provide you with the data you request in a format you can transfer to a functioning computer.
REDISKME provides a variety of ways to deliver your recovered data depending on your needs and technical expertise. As far as media is concerned, depending on the amount of data and your preference, we can provide you with CDs, DVDs, external hard drives, or some other form of portable media. Usually we return to you a specific set of files you request, such as pictures, music, video, and documents. Depending on your needs we will work with you to determine the best method of restoring and returning your data.
